XP clean install

Any help or advice much appreciated, my desk top had just about come to a
standstill so i decided on a complete fresh install of xp pro. All going well
until key required, i looked on the back of my cd case and instead of a
serial number it said :WINDOWS XPPRO GENUINE ADV ENGLISH INTL DIRECT CD NO
KEY and i dumped my old case ages ago which must of had the COA on it duh is
there anything i can do ?

I'm afraid, if the disk is wiped, you're out of luck. If XP were still
running, you could have gotten the Product Key with numerous free programs.
