xp cd missing files when i install

sny one know if i can use a difrent copy of xp home to
install my os i got a copy of xp home but it missing
filkes when i install i got cd key of back of cd case can
i use it on a diffrent xp home cd

What is the error your getting during setup? It is unlikely that your CD is missing files, more likely you have a configuration or
hardware problem.

You can use any XP Home CD with a valid Product Key, but it's more probable
that you have a hardware problem, most likely bad RAM. Also did you run the
compatability wizard and follow it's suggestions before attempting to install
XP?

Not quite any, has to match retail vs. OEM, full vs. upgrade, and so on.
