XP CD for HP Notebook

First of all I don't know if I am on the right group. Anyway I hope someone
can help me. I have a HP Notebook from one of my customers which has WinXP
installed with a legal OEM Key. For many times we had it in the Service
Center and honestly HP messed it right up. I am at a point now where I want
to install XP from scratch however, the Notebook didn't came with an OS CD.
I tired other OEM CD, which I have plenty, but somehow they don't accept the
Key from HP when I want to activate it. I have called MS to activate it by
phone and they told me that the key is issued to HP and I need an HP WinXP
OS. HP however won't give me a CD. Is there any way that I can do a clean
install of XP on this Notebook without all the crab which is on the created
recovery CD's after installation.

Thanks

Somchai

Look for an i386 folder, and burn this to a CD.

Then boot from a DOS floppy or CD (with CD-driver support) and do

d: (CD letter)
cd i386
winnt
