XP Can't open some links

I have a new computer with XP Home. I have a couple of sites that I can't
open the links. Also, I can't open the Yahoo games. For example I click on a
word game and all I get is a blank box with a X in the corner. I'm networked
and the other computers work fine.

Any ideas ?

I have xp with ie6.0 and it would not run java applets. I went www.java.com
and downloaded and installed and java applets are working.
