XP: cannot see any url’s from FireFox

steve

Just installed FireFox on XP Media Center. While IE works, FF does
not. I looked at the settings and there are no proxy settings in my
IE. So FF should work the same way, but it does not.

Please help.

Steve, can you be a bit more specific about what's happening?

How is Firefox "not working"? What happens when you type in a URl, and
if you get any error messages, what are they? Is IE set as default
browser?

I'd like to try to help but I'm not really clear about the problem. . .
please post back.

Hi NightOwl,

Truly strange. When I posted the message, FF could not access any
urls (or any IP’s). Now it can, and is working just fine. Maybe a
reset of the computer did the job, I don’t know.

Ha, that's half the fun of Windows :)

Glad it's working for you now, Steve.
