XP Cache File Problem?

I started having problems (not sure why) with saving email attachments from
Outlook Express and in burning files to CDs and DVDs. When I try to save a
single attachment from Outlook Express that is over 100 megs, I get an error
message saying "disk full". When trying to burn files to CD/DVD I keep
getting an error message that seems to suggest the cache has been exceeded.

I have tried resetting system setting to let XP run virtual memory, etc. I
have set my windows temp file to 8GB.

In the Outlook section, I was told this is likely a temp file issue, but I
have gone in and deleted all temp files and deleted all downloaded headers
and bodies from Outlook and still get the same result with not being able to
save attached files.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Be careful with your shorthand references, please: Outlook (OL) and Outlook
Express (OE) are not the same application.

I can't find any recent post of yours in any of the OE newsgroups, Bob.

Have you compacted all OE folders
(http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm#compact), run Disk Cleanup
(deleting all offline files), and then Defragged?
