How do I get this on the desktop. I have it on my
workstation, but for the life of me I can't figure out
how I set this up. I want to show the same on my laptop.

thanks.

Eric,

To hide the version number, open (regedit.exe) registry editor and change
the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\PaintDesktopVersion to value
0. Value 1 displays the version number. In trial versions this is not
working and the number will be displayed even if you change the value to 0.
The change will take effect after you logout and restart the computer.

Regards,
Ramesh

Thanks Chris, I just didn't scroll down far enough in
TweakUI to see it. DUH!

Use TweakUI - one of the XP Powertoys from (if you have installed XP
SP1)
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

If you have not installed SP!, the earlier version can be found at
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

Once installed you will find it in Start - All Programs - Powertoys for
Windows XP

Its General page - there is a checkbox to 'show windows version on
desktop'
