Hi Joe,

Check the system BIOS for an enabled "wake on..." feature. Usually this is
caused by "wake on lan" or "wake on ring".

One of our Senior Group members here has an XP Home machine that boots up
during the night. There is nothing set in Task Manager to cause this.

Any suggestions please?

Bad power supply is a possible cause if there is no way for someone to boot
up the PC remotely.

Thanks Rick, I have done work on this members computer before and the BIOS
is not set to that.

Thanks Garrot, I think that you may well have the answer there as some other
recent problems tend towards the power supply.
