Hi group
I have just installed xp pro on a slave drive...no problem so far. However
when used as the master drive I get the message "NTDLR is missing Press
CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart "
Any ideas please

- Your WinXP boot files reside on your master drive.
You cannot boot without them.

- Even if you moved the boot files to your slave drive,
WinXP would not work: Its registry contains thousands
of references to your slave drive (presumably drive D:).
When you turn the slave drive into the master drive,
these references are all wrong, because WinXP is now
visible on drive C:.

Just as a heads up, when you install Windows onto the "slave drive", the
boot record for the system is still stored on the master.
