A few months ago on the microsoft webpage I downloaded
numerous windoxs xp "hotfixes". This morning I went
through each and every one and starting unistalling them
under the add or remove program applet, after each one
unistalled and asked to restart computer I would ctr alt
delete that process and continue to the next until every
hotfix was deleted, then I restarted the computer, it
would reach the windows logo loading screen and the blue
screen of death would flicker, it only stays up for a
split second so I cannot see what it says, I cannot boot
into safe mood, I cannot get into command prompt, I can
only boot from cd or bootdisk, I have lost my windows xp
disc, is there ANYthing I can do to rectify this problem,
maybe a diagnostic program run from a floppy, anything??
PLEASE help me, thanks in advance.

Removed the hotfixes? why?
Repair using XP disk - no disk contact supplier of sys if OEM otherwise MS
if retail copy

Thats the problem David, I have lost my XP disk, is there
any other solutions to this problem other than having to
go get a new xp disc??

Why would you delete all the hotfixes? Not a smart thing to do. If you think
one may be causing problems you delete/uninstall one at a time and only
relevant ones. If you don't know how to do this a support expert at the
local computer store can help you, but it's best just to leave them.
To fix your xp, boot to the xp cd and do a repair install. If you have no cd
and it's an oem install call the oem and ask them how to do a repair install
or re-install of xp. The oem must provide a way to do this.

borrow someone elses disk

Bad move. You've reinstated all the security exposures, and other
problems, that these hotfixes were designed to correct.

after each one
unistalled and asked to restart computer I would ctr alt
delete that process and continue to the next until every
hotfix was deleted, then I restarted the computer, it
would reach the windows logo loading screen and the blue

Another bad move. If yours was a retail version, see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[ln];326246.

But if it was an OEM version, Microsoft won't support it and
you're probably out of luck. However it doesn't hurt to try
asking the OEM you bought it from if they can replace it.

If you can't boot even in safe mode, and you don't have a CD to
try the recovery console, there's little left for you to do
besides reinstalling Windows cleanly.
You will likely need to buy a new copy.
