how do I make a bootdisk so that I can access drive c:
and my cdrom? please help

Is their a reason that you are not just booting from the
Windows XP CD-ROM?

90% of newer systems support booting directly from the CD-
ROM drive. Look in your BIOS for a Boot options or Boot
order setting and set your CD-ROM to boot before the hard
drive. Then insert your XP install CD and reboot, and
press a key when prompted to boot from the CD.

Greetings --

Simply boot from the WinXP installation CD. You'll be offered the
opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part of the
installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the
order of boot devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)
