I've got the famous blue screen - the registry appears to
be corrupt. My (Dell) PC came with NO Windows XP CD, so
I'm waiting to get one from them.

Anyone know how to rebuild this without having the OS CD?

It's urgent, and I have a hard time shelling out $200 for
this.

Appreciate any help anyone can suggest.

Hello

No matter what you do you will need the cdrom so
either wait on Dell to send youone or if you need
now go out and buy Win XP Home or Pro

You should either have a restore disk with the machine or
the restore will be stored on the hdd, try looking at your
manual.

You can't.
Get Dell to repair it since they forgot to give you a Cd.

Get Dell to send you a CD.
