XP blocking installation problem

When trying to upgrade from Me to XP BLOCKING
ISSUE "must remove Microsoft Shared FAX client" occurs.
Suggests to use control panel to remove, however program
is not present. Any ideas?

You might try installing it and then uninstall it.

Do a search for the file "fxsclnt.exe", back it up to a safe place, and
delete it.
