By right clicking a photograph and selecting sent to Mail enables me to
reduce the size for email. My query is that sometimes I get the picture as
an attachment only and sometimes I get the photograph within the body of the
email as well as showing as an attachment.
How do I arrange that I always get a photograph within the body of the
email?

You are misunderstanding me. I am looking at the emails I have sent. I have
also checked by sending myself emails

I don't know what you mean by Mail Client. I use Freeserve (Wanadoo) as my
ISP

Outlook (OL)? Outlook Express (OE)? IOW the application that opens when
you 'Send to mail recipient' or use one of the options in IE toolbar's Mail
button dropdown menu.

It sounds like OE, in which case the file is sent as an attachment, it is
not embedded/inserted. For your convenience (viewed in Sent Items) and that
of the recipient (also using OE), OE will /display/ certain graphic
attachments in a separate section below the message body, not
embedded/inserted into the message body itself.
