XP Automatic Update

Can anyone help me to turn Microsoft Automatic Update on.

I have XP Home edition but when I go to system/automatic
update all check boxes are 'greyed' and I cannot turn
updates on.

Make sure there is a tick in the first box where it says 'Keep my computer
up to date'.

If that has been greyed, go into the Control Panel and goto Performance and
Maintenance>Administrative Tools (or Administrative Tools if you have
Classic View enabled).

Double click on Services and then Automatic Updates from the list on the
right. Change its Startup Type to Automatic and Start the service. You
should now be able to change your automatic update settings through the
Automatic Updates tab of your System properties.
