XP and Networking??

I have setup a small network with 3 machines ( XP Pro, XP
Home and a 2k ) also a HP printer.

All the machines are on the same subnet and they all can
talk to the printer. Problem is they cant see each other
on the workgroup and cant ping each other. I have done a
net view \ip and I get an error 53 which relates to a
connection issue. On the XP machines the ICF is not ticked
yet all the symptoms relate to a firewall? I am not
running any other firewall software either.

Any ideas about getting these machines to see each other
on the network?

try pinging the machine by their IP. If it works, then you
probably don't have "Enable LMHOSTS lookup" for the Local
Area Connection.
You just go to IP Properties> Advanced >Wins
check "Enable LMHOSTS lookup" and, also, "Enable NETBios
Over TCP/IP" on all machines.
