Hi Keith,
Password protection would be pretty useless if it was easy to overcome, so I
can't say I am surprised that you are having some difficulty. The best thing
is to find someone local who does data and system recovery to reset your
system, the reason being that whatever you do there is going to be a cost.
It is a question of just how large that cost will be. There is software
available for this very purpose but its expensive for a one off procedure.

The Locksmith function most definitely allows an administrator password to
be reset. Once that is done the admin account becomes available to you and
you can reset passwords for any other account on your system. ERD Commander
is loaded onto a PC then burned onto a CD-R. The CD-R is then used to boot
the PC. So as you currently have no access to your PC you will need another
machine to create the CD-R. ERD Commander actually allows an enormous number
of Windows problems to be dealt with-it is more than just a one function
program and everyone who is a little "techy" would benefit by having it but
it costs $150 about £100 for a single machine licence. To give you an idea
of what a specialist might charge, I unlocked a clients machine last month
for £50 ($75) and that included a callout fee. Not sure if this helps you
but good luck?
