XP Activation Revisited...

After a repair install of Windows XP Home Edition, the operating system will not allow me to log on. It states that the copy needs to be activated and asks me if I wish to do so. Both answers (Yes and No) log me off and will not allow me to process with activation.

Jupiter stated to activate in safe mode. Windows states that I cannot activate in safe mode and instructs me to boot into normal mode for activation. Any suggestions

No good. Safe Mode with Networking will not allow me to log on with
activation. I can only log in under Safe Mode, but cannot activate windows
from that mode. Any suggestions?

Call MS activation. The number should be listed.

It would not get to that point. It would just log of when you clicked yes to
activate. Anyway the problem was fixed by editing the registry in safe mode.
Thanks.
