XP Activation - MVP help requested.

After a repair install of Windows XP Home Edition, the operating system will not allow me to log on. It states that the copy needs to be activated and asks me if I wish to do so. Both answers (Yes and No) log me off and will not allow me to process with activation.

Jupiter Jones stated to activate in safe mode. Windows states that I cannot activate in safe mode and instructs me to boot into normal mode for activation. Safe mode with networking will not allow me to log in either. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
