XP activation (post 30-day)

I need help getting into the activation process. When I boot my machine it tells me that I have to activate windows (O.K.) then when I choose to activate now ("YES") it takes me to the activation screen and then I get a blank blue text box that says "Activation" and house 2 small boxes in the upper right and left corner that are white with a small circle, triangle and square in each box???

Almost like a program or file are missing????? Need help to even get into my start up menu...Cna't even get there!
