I installed Windows XP on my home computer (Drive C) only to find that my
scanner, laser printer, modem, and second parallel port are not supported. I
have a 4 GB partition of the same hard drive that I set up when I installed
XP (for a problem such as this). How do I put Windows 98 on this partition
without deleting all of XP?

Thank you for your time!

How do I install Windows 98/Me after I've installed XP?

Try the procedure from Doug Knox's web site:

http://www.dougknox.com/

Click on WinXP tips, and then click on "How to install Win98 after XP
is installed".

While the link quoted by the other respondents demands that your
existing WinXP partition be FAT32, it is actually possible to
install Win98 on the same disk, provided that you have (or can
create) a second primary partition. This can be done without
resorting to a third-party boot manager.

Be aware that this will only work if your XP partition is FAT32 (which is
unlikely). That said, the procedure supplied does work nicely.
