XP 2003 server stop error HELP!!!!

It worked!! I enabled irq for pci vga in the bios and it went on no
problems, Funny how a vague memory gave the answer. I would like to
thank all on this forum who cared enough to read this post.I wonder if
there is a list of default setting for the bios when installing each
windows version, i think that many people may have systems performing
under par just because they have the odd setting wrong in the
bios...Just a thought :) thanks again

There are probably quite a few. A lot of manuals/study guides for the A+
tests have a listing of default IRQs for various Windows iterations as well
as DOS. OTOH it's been awhile since I took my test so maybe they no longer
do so. When I took the test it hadn't been updated in 10 years and after the
update it was still one Windows version behind. For the most part, 2000 and
beyond OSes do a good job of allocating resources with IRQ sharing.
