Jeff

Does anyone know where the default storage after downloading .rar files? I
downloaded some files and have looked for them everywhere and cant find
them.

What is the best freeware for opening .rar files?

TIA

I think the default is [xnewsdirectory]/downloads/, but I really don't
remember. Have a look at Special » Setup Xnews » Files tab.

I like FilZip, <http://www.filzip.com/>, but there are others that
work just as well. See
<http://www.pricelesswarehome.org/2006/PL2006FILEUTILITIES.php#Archives:Zip-Unzip>.

Special | Setup XNEWS (or Ctrl-F1), click Files.

Suggestion: RTfancyM or, at least, explore the menus. ;)
