.xml file download

When attempting to open a .xml file via IE, I would like to bypass the File
Download dialog box. I would like IE to automatically open the .xml file.
I've already went into Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types,
clicked on the XML file type, clicked on the Advanced button and unchecked
the "confirm open after download" checkbox. This did not help. I've also put
the appropriate websites in the Trusted Sites security zone. That didn't help
either. Is there any way of doing this?

Hello!
i have the self problem

Neither of you has disclosed your OS or version information
which may make a difference about whether you can do this or not
and in either case would make a difference about which tools
you could be expected to have available to use as diagnostics.

Also, please provide a sample publicly accessible URL that causes
the symptom because I think one factor may be the MIME type being
specified by the server. Etc.
