Download large XML file from IE6

I need to download a large XML file from a website I use regularly. The
website has a button to click to generate the file, so I can't just
right-click on the file name and choose "Save Target As." For most file
types, IE will pop open a box and ask if I want to save the file to my
computer or open it in the browser, but for the XML file it always tries to
open it in the browser. Unfortunately, the size of the file causes my machine
to eventually run out of virtual memory. (apparently this is expected
according to http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;269488)
Besides, what I want to do is save the file, not view it in the browser.

Is there any way to configure IE6 so that it doesn't automatically open XML
files in the browser window but instead gives me the option to download them?

I tried using firefox and it gives me the option to save vs. open, but I
would rather use IE.

Thanks!
