xls 2003 filter

Dear all,

I use the filter to hide pictures when needed.
When all the cells (whereto the picure is inserted) are
hidden I do a copy/paste of the rested cells to word.
In word 2003 the picture is copied and as well is printed
as a vertical line even when the picture was hidden due
to the filter. In word 2000 the picture is not printed as
a vertical line.

How can I avoid this vertical line in Word 2003 ?

Hi Tom

not 100% sure of what you're doing - but i get the impression that when you
filter the records you only want to copy & paste what you see on the screen
and not the stuff that has been filtered out - if this is the case then you
might like to give - Edit / Go To / Special / Select Visible Cells Only -
before you copy a go. This will allow you to only select the cells that you
can see when you do the copy & therefore these only will be pasted when you
paste in word.

Let us know how you go.

Cheers

Dear,

Thank you for replying (post of a week ago)

The problem is that I have a lot of hidden cells and
hidden pictures.
If I copy them like you say, all the pictures, even if
there are not visible, are copied to word 2003.
In word 2003, you can see the pictures as a vertical line.
The XLS file is 10 MB and the word file is alllso 10 MB
instead of 1 MB because there is only one picure shown
and 20 hidden.

Thanks anyway.
Tom
