I have a new computer with windows XP. I took my old
hardirve and installed it in my new tower. It had windows
98. How do I transfer some of those old files to my new
hardrive? An example is the calendar info from the old
outlook to the new one. Guess what I don't know is what
file to look for in order to export/import assuming
that's what I can do. Any help to this computer dummy
would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Depends on the applications. Your example (Outlook) has an Export function.
