Xerox 860 Ink in 8200?

D

Dan Helton

I just purchased, by accident, ink for a Xerox 860 but I own a Xerox
8200. I haven't opened the packages because I want to send them back
if they would not fit. I know the 860 and the 8200 are very similar.
My question is, are the stick shapes the same? Will these 860 sticks
physically fit into my 8200?

Thanks!

Personally I wouldn't risk it, like I wouldn't risk the compatible ink
in mine for a few years at least. Certainly they will tell you not to
try and put the ink in, they could well have a slightly different
composition putting all your colour work out until you have printed
through enough ink to clear them out.

Sorry the ink is not compatible. You will get a large bill from Xerox to
resolve that issue. Besides, the sticks will not physically fit.

The whole chemistry of the ink has changed.
