XBox connect and Windows XP

XBox connect worked fine before upgrade to Windows XP.
We operate an HP PC through a Toshiba PCX5000 Cable modem
and the XBox relies on the Toshiba's wireless connection.
Everything was fine until I "Upgraded" to Windows XP from
Windows ME. Now the XBox is constantly "searching for
games". At first I believed it was another firewall issue
but after disabling that Windows XP feature still
nothing. Anyone else experience this? What do I need to
do? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hi Jim,

Wireless connections are simply not conducive to a
good gaming environment. Once you can get them to
connect by forwarding the appropriate ports, you will
still have more lag with wireless than with wired.

Save yourself. Get wired. It's worth it in my opinion.
