Xbox 360 and RC1

Anyone managed to get their XBox 360 running with RC1? I had it running fine
in pre-RC1, and beta 2, but cannot seem to get it up and running in this
build. Seems to be that they have altered the 'private' network and 'public'
network set up, so if anyone has it set up okay, can you help. My internet
connection is dial up broadband (to the computer) and the Xbox360 is then
connected by Ethernet cable. have always managed it before, can't even get it
to acknowledge Media Centre either!

If you are trying to share media between the XBOX and Vista, then its
possible you need to turn on such functionality:

Click Start > Network > on the menu bar, click Network and Sharing Center >
under "Sharing and Discovery" ensure that "Media Library" is turned on.

Thanks for that Andre, is this new to this build as I don't remember having
to turn it on before?

sorry Andre, but no go!!!Even though I try to turn it on, and the Xbox360 is
there for allow media sharing, it doesn't turn on!! The big change that has
been made as far as I can see, is the private/public networks. This is not
the same as before ( I think that I listened to a pod broadcast, where the
programmer stated that he had changed this because users were getting
confused as to which one they should choose i.e, private/public) . I have
mine set to private, which should allow all my stuff (computer/Xbox 360) to
see and communicate with each other, but no joy!! Also, Media Centre sees the
Xbox360, then tries to set all the settings for it, and gets stuck at
'Configure Extender Settings'. I have checked the firewall, everything!! Also
Xbox cannot access the internet either, keeps stopping when I check the
settings at DNS and MTU (I think!) Thanks anyway for the help Andre, but I
have had loads of struggles in the past (even with XP) to get the Xbox
connected.

Try one last thing, open the Windows Firewall, > Exceptions (tab) > select
the check box for "Media Center Extenders", also check the "Windows Media
Player Network Sharing Service" to make sure, click OK.

I have the exact same problem, the xbox360 has a ip adress fail, i think the
you have to get a private network and open a different port special 4 the
360, i'm gonna try this out and in the 360 i'm gonna change the network
settings manual....
the second problem is that i can't delete the found 360 in media center,
what's up with that?
If this doesn't work Somebody please help us...i want to see media center on
my 360!!!!

Andre that one is checked as well!!! Talk about doing your head in!!!
Something has been changed since pre-RC1 with the network configurations, I
know that because the programmer said that users were getting confused as to
whether to set up a public network or a private network and that he had
changed these settings in the hope of making it easier to understand.
Something has changed, I know that as I have been able to set up the Xbox360
with very little problems before, especially getting it talking to Media
Centre which was easier than setting it up with Media Connect!
