My friend bought a ATI version last week and he got in under 24 hours.
But it was in stock at the time. They are replenishing their stock
quickly and I don't expect more then a week wait, possibly sooner.
I'll keep ya posted if you want. My order says IN PROCESS right now so
far. A pricewatch.com search shows all x800's over $400 US right now,
so $329 is pretty damn impressive I thought.

They are comparing a $360.00 (for me) X800 Pro to a $540.00 (cheapest
on Pricewatchright now) 6800 Ultra... and its pretty darn close.

WTH, I just ordered one too!
lol

Trust me when I say that the X800pro is a delight at ANY price, but $329 is
stealing it :) I've had one for two weeks now ($399 at Outpost. grrr) and
I don't get much sleep anymore. You guys are gonna love it.

Just a heads up for everyone. :)

If you don't mind a little wait check out www.outpost.com for the
VisionTek X800 256MB PRO for only $329.99.

Price means nothing when you have none to sell. Don't know where you
came up with that $329.99 number, but when they do have them,
They'll go for $399.99, exactly the "we don't have any" price they
have always shown.

I have to wonder if that price is a misprint since
up until today, that particular card has always been listed
at $399.99. Also, $399.99 is the MSRP, Outpost rarely sells
below MSRP, and that goes double for a hard to get item.

In any case, Outpost can 'conveniently' be out of stock
until the street price reaches $329.99 even if it is legit.

Try this URL (It's the VisionTek one) and read the words "PRE-ORDER".

Just like I predicted, that link you sent is bogus, you can't
can't 'order' (pre or otherwise) that Visiontek at that $329.99. Actual
price is
$399.99.

Ever heard of an incentive to take bussiness away from others who DO
have it in stock?? As of right now pricewatch lists the cheapest at
$409 by the way.

I don't expect the backorder to take long.. like by mid next week I
guess. I'd much rather spend $329 then $409.

The $329.99 listing was a misprint, an error. That's why the
link was bad. Outpost has never sold this card at all, much less
for $329.99

How can one look at you order. It's secure.

You can see the $329.99 price at

http://shop1.outpost.com/search?sea...&query_string=x800&cat=&submit.x=0&submit.y=0

And if you click on the "BUY" hyperlink instead of the item
description it will take you to the shopping cart with the item in the
cart for said price. For some reason if you click on the description
it goes to an error screen. Thats probally why he thinks it fake.

Not sure this link seems to work:
