Here is a website that I look at when deciding such things. Here is a
little comparison of the X1800, the X1900, both by themselves, in
crossfire mode (two of them in one system, similar to SLI), and their
competitors. The page goes through them in Serious Sam 2, and then
Unreal Tournament 2K4, which is a little farther down the game. I'm
not sure how much you know about frame rates and such and all the
little things about video cards. The different colors on the bar
graphs represent different resolutions that they ran the game on, the
one you will use will depend on your monitor, but if you don't have a
widescreen, most likely 1024x768. The numbers at the end of each bar
represent the frames per second that the game plays at with that video
card. UT2k4 is odd in that the X1800's outperform the X1900's even
though they are the newer cards, although, none of this will be evident
at all when playing the game. Infact, the differences are pretty much
nothing. I think the X1800XT they used might be the 512mb version, but
this still shouldn't make too much of difference when using the 256mb
version. Normal TV runs at something like 30 frames per second, so
really, If I were you, I'd go with the cheapest of the two as it
probably won't make a difference for the games you're planning on
playing. However, the results are most likely going to be different as
to when the card is in your system. You can compare your system to the
one these guys used here
(http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/video/display/radeon-x1900xt-crossfire_4.html)
But still, the X1800 is going to be fine. Here is one that I'd
consider from newegg.com, this card should fit your needs quite fine.

Hope any of that helped.

Wow. That was everything I was looking for. Since I am not a hardcore
gamer, I think the cheaper of the 2 would be better. Thanks Alot for
this info and the link. Helps alot.

This discussion forum is amazing.
