www vs search

If I do directly to a site using the www address, I get to the site and
within five seconds get disconnected with a warning from Internet Explorer.
HOWEVER, if I search for that same address and click on the appropriate
search link, I have no such problem. I tried restoring to a previous date.
Any suggestions?

Don't use the www. prefix unless the (a) site will not load.
