We have 2 WUS servers running in Windows 2000 servers.
They are supposed to get updates from the Microsoft
Windows update website for deployment. Recently, when I
checked these servers using Windows Update, I found out
that there are at least 7 critical updates that need to
be installed in these WUS servers. Why did they not
update automatically? What could have been wrong with my
setup? Our servers are always connected to the internet.

Two options need to be checked for this to work

1. Automatically Download new update

2. Automatically Approve updates

can you check if you have those options again in WUS. and they are checked.
