Wupdater.exe isn't closing!

Hey!

When I go to shut down the computer, an "end Progam" box
appears with the file "WUPDATER.EXE". It won't close,
and so I always have to click "end program" to shut down
my computer. I had gone into "msconfig" and unchecked
the box for it under "start up" items. But I would like
to fix the problem, not just go around it. Any
suggestions?

Wupdater.exe is responsible for popup and popunder advertisements and
frustrating shutdown problems whether the PC either fails to shut down
properly, or the end-user gets "Wupdater not responding" errors.

This is a known spyware component
