wupdater.exe

Lately when shutting down or restarting computer, I
receive an error window message.The message is
wupdater.exe is not responding. Now if I click "End now"
then windows will shut down. Otherwise it will not.

I did a search for file and looks like it refers to
C:\Windows\Prefetch. Did find it there (wupdater.exe-
0EDE2924). I did install a Espon C84 printer maybe two
months ago. But this problem has been happening maybe
about couple of weeks now.

Any ideas on how to correct this problem would be really
appreciated. This is a very annoying problem. Thanks.
