Wrong Program Executing

I have tried to download a file from Nikon for Nikon digital photography
manipulation. It is a zip file. When it appears to have been downloaded to
my "Downloads" directory I get an error message from a different directory
and different program (genealogy program PAF) sayin that the file appears to
have been damaged. I have, then, tried unzipping the program and
downloading the unzipped files. I have the same response...the PAF error
message telling me the file appears to be damaged. In spite of what appears
to be a complete and full download, I cannot find the file on my hard drive
at all.

Where should I look to see what the problem is?

The problem might be with the download site. I get this sometimes and what I
do is to go to an alternated download site. I sometimes get corrupted
download from a few particular. Hopefully Nikon has an alternate one for you
to check. Also try emptying your temp cache.
