Wrong font

I need help urgently! I'm working on WinXP Pro and my fonts were corrupted. I couldn't even view the TrueType Font Files only the Type1 font files in my system and all the fonts appeared to be in symbols but I deleted the Type1 fonts from the folder and the TrueType font reappeard. I reinstalled the fonts that were originally on my system but I still have a huge problem I can't solve... my software fonts are bigger than the usual and I think they're not even the correct fonts. It's extremely hard to work it... eg Macromedia Freehand and Flash. I need to know how to reset the whole system font. Does anyone know how to reset it by some kind of command? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks...

here under 'F' look at 'Fonts - Replace All'
2]if that doesn't help then if you have xp installation CD try a repair
install.
