Writing to CDRW

Vic Johns

HI, When trying to save data and documents to CDRW, if a
blank CD is in the drive I get the Message "You do not
have access to the folder 'G'./ See your administrator
for access to this folder". If I use a CDRW that already
has files on it I get the message "CANNOT SAVE 'G'./
doc', The folder is marked as "Read Only".
I hope that someone can help.
Regards Vic Johns

You can not save directly to CD from most programs unless they have that
ability built in or you use packet writing software to preformat your
CD-R/Ws.

Some applications like WinRescue, Backup MyPC, Norton Ghost 2003, Drive
Image 2002 etc have the ability to burn built right into the application.
However most programs do not. For example you can't save directly to CD from
Word. I have a couple of work-arounds here
