Writing MPEG's to CD

Is it possible to write videos in MPEG format to CD-R's
and okay them back on a DVD player? If so, how?

You can do this with programs like Nero, Roxio EZCD or VCDEasy but you must
first convert the file into the required MPEG format (Nero can do this for
you). Be warned that not all DVD players can play back VCD/SVCD video or
read CD-R's...
