Writing JPGs to CD

I'm trying to write JPGs to a CD. First, I copied the
files, then I chose "Write these files to CD" and now the
JPGs appear on the CD under the message "Files Currently
On CD." However, when I insert the CD into any store
processor (I've tried 3 different stores) the only thing
it recognizes is a directory. It sees no other data. I've
tried deleting the files and get the message I cannot
delete because the existing files are read only. Doesn't
that mean they have been written? What am I doing wrong?
I posted this problem earlier and thanks to all who
responded. I made sure to try each suggestion if I had
not already done so. They do appear as JPGs and I have
tried more than one disc. Suggestions? I'm desperate.
Thanks!

Try haveing the jpgs in my pictures to write to cd,go to edit, select all
in the drop down menu select, write to cd,the cd writing wizard from x
should then open, follow from there,if one doesnt show, look in task bar for
files to write to cd,click on it,follow from there. You can also put files in a ne
folder that you created,L.click the folder,in the drop down sub menu select, writ
to cd.Not that you must have it but windows update should have installed, HighMA
cd writing software.

The only other post from you that I see doesn't have a really helpful
response, so I don't know what you've done. What CD writing program are
you using? Have you "finalized" the CD (sometimes this is called "make
this CD readable by other computers")? If you put the CD in your
computer -- after rebooting -- and browse to it using Windows Explorer,
do you see the files? What happens when you double-click on them? Do
you have another PC (yours or a friend's) on which you can try the same
experiment?

This is the inbuilt CD burning. First this is not a CD-RW method, but
has written all the files in one 'session' and they cannot be deleted or
updated. See http://aumha.org/win5/a/xpcd.htm

If you put the disk back in the drive where it was made, can you open it
in Explorer and see the files? If so, if you double click one, does it
open up so you see the picture?

If so, the disk was written correctly and *ought* to be usable in CD
drives on other machines. There may though be a matter of hardware
compatibility - choosing the right brand of disk for best results needs
some trial and error
