WOWEXEC

I have a problem with this wowexec program or whatever it
is. I tried to install an AVG anti-virus software, but I
keep getting an error message that says "WOWEXEC caused a
general protection fault in module MMSYSTEM.DLL at
000A:0032". I've also gotten this message when trying to
install a couple of games.
