Hi,
Based on a couple of previous cases, I would try to get a new copy of the
'mmsystem.dll' file from the XP CD-ROM. To do this, follow this procedure:
1. Boot to the Recovery Console
2. Rename C:\Windows\System32\mmsystem32.dll to mmsystem.old
3. Expanded a new copy of mmsystem.dll - (ie: expand
<cdrom>:\i386\mmsystem.dl_)
4. Boot back into Normal Mode again
