OK first off I would like to say that the fact this is happening is a joke. I
pay 300 hundred dollars to have this happen. Ok So from the beginning. I
installed Microsoft Windows Vista Business 32 bit about 5 days ago. Today I
get a message saying that
"The Product Key Typed Is Already In Use"
Now I had already activated the product at this point about 2 days earlier.
So I click contact a Microsoft Support. I get there select My product and
have no idea what my PID is so I click on the link that explains how to find
it. I Get This
"Directory Listing Denied
This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed."
So I google it and find out what it is and how to find it. Enter it and it
says this to me
"The product ID number you entered is not valid or is not in the correct
format. Please enter a valid product ID number and try again. Make sure the
product ID number is of the form: 12345-XXX-7654321-98765."
I can see that its in that form so I think maybe that I better try it on a
different link. So I cruise over to the Vista Home Premium support section
enter the PID and it says this to me
"The product ID did not match the product selected
The product ID number you entered is for Windows Vista Business (All
Languages), which is different than Windows Vista Home Premium (All
Languages) that you selected for support. Please enter the product ID number
for Windows Vista Home Premium (All Languages) or click Select Product to
select the correct product."
So I go back to the Business Section Again and It says the Same thing about
how its not a Valid PID. After all this has happened Microsoft's Activation
Thing decides I need a slap in the face, after all this, and it tells me that
I have 28 Days left to activate My product. So im pretty mad at this point. A
few other things: The first being that this is the Upgrade version and that
it is installed over Xp Professional. The second that I installed Vista once
had some major compatibility issues so I reinstalled Xp the Reinstalled Vista
over that (Because I cant just do a clean install with just vista) I
activated it and all was good. THen just today about 2-3 days later this
starts.
