Would this system work with Vista

A driver cannot break hardware - a power surge or you dribbling into it can
however. Drivers are software only, and are likely to never actually go near
the hardware itself.

How can you say that unless you have tested the latest builds? There has
been a lot of improvements since 5308. You should really think positive
instead of negative
"Think" seems to be to operative word with this clown!

I personally think that you Illegally Downloaded Builds 5342, 5365, and
5381, because, I certainly would not want someone like you in my Beta! Got
any Proof that you are actually in the Beta?

P.S. P.S.S. P.P.S.S. The sign of a complete fool that cannot compose
everything under one post.

ATI's Windows Vista Beta 1 Device Driver's did indeed break my ATI Radeon
X300, just FYI, you did not test Windows Vista Beta 1 (or else you would
have seen me Posting in the Technical Beta Newsgroups in the
August/September 2005 Time Frame) so just Plain Shut the **** Up.

Jason

Vista will not break that AT Card. Kevin is a m***n. He does not know what
he is talking about. Nothing wrong with that ATI card. As a matter of fact
it is on one of my test machines and it works exceptionally well. You are all
set with what you have described.

Well smarty-pants, I hope you had the brains to RMA the card right?
Oh, btw, software will not break a video card. Only a penciled neck geek
or a New Orleans pimp would say something as stupid as that.

Again, what right do you have to ask for this information? You do not work
for Microsoft and you opted out of the beta program. Also, it could be
under NDA for him to show you any proof that he is part of the beta program.
So, stop asking users about this. You can be very ANNOYING!!!!!

Applied but still waiting to be accepted for the Vista Beta Testing group.
Can't wait to be able to play and help make it even better.

Stopping a device from working is entirely different to the device actually
breaking..........even new hardware can 'break', then it's RMA time.......

A device to stop working under the OS itself. Uninstall the driver, and the
hardware is in the SAME state as you first bought it. A driver cannot
physically damage your hardware OK?

My ATI 9200 does glass just fine, and I've not had any problems with Vista
destroying anything on my machines. Whatever destroyed your video card, you
can rest assured it wasn't Vista.

Jason, so far, I've not heard of even one instance of video cards going bad
because of Vista, and I'm in the beta newsgroups pretty much daily. So,
consider the source and go on your merry way. :-}

N

NLWard

I was in those newsgroups at that time, and I don't remember anything about
Vista breaking a video card. You're putting out false information about a
product at this point, and run the risk of a lawsuit. Microsoft just might
stop ignoring your slanderous posts.

N

NLWard

But they CANNOT break them to the point they're no longer useable. And
that's what you've said in other posts.

I've got a question. You mentioned earlier that Aero Glass works fine on a
Radeon 9200. How did you get glass enabled on that card? Just curious.
Thanks.
