I just could not believe what the last minute of extra time had in store. The poor Germans had barely recovered from the first blow.

One thing was certain, the tears rolling down on the face of a German fan were genuine. I could feel her pain even though it was on the telly.

Italy thoroughly deserved it on the night, it was eaisly one of the best matches of footy i've seen through the whole campaign. It was good for the world cup.

I just hope France can see off those Portugese cheats. There really turning into a dirty football nation, its an embarrasment, seeing players who have established careers taking dives, asking ref's to issue un needed cards and genrally being unsportsman like.

It's alleged that one of the Portuguese players failed a drugs and alcohol test after the quarter final match on Saturday. If this is confirmed as postive, under FIFA rules for the tournament, paragraph 6, subsection 2e, Portugal will forfeit their place and England will play France in the semi-final on Wednesday evening.

Well Thierry Henry thinks differently and he could waltz into any team in the world .
