Well we went down with all guns blazing but Russa get the 2018 World Cup bid what a shame, but perhaps it will be good that Russa will feel less isolated in the world what do you think.

Yeah it's a shame - it would have been great fun to have it over here... although you win some, you lose some. Fingers crossed that Russia put on a good show. I hope you're right that it does bring them in from the cold a little more - congrats to them. Their bid was apparently very impressive.

We've got the Olympics in just 1.5 years time, so it's not like we'll be short of international events
