workstation locked - screensaver error

I have the latest service packs and updates installed.

While my workstation is locked, I get the following error
as soon as my screensaver is about to activate:

xxxx.scr Application error
The application failed to initialize properly
(0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application.

When you click OK, the logon screen re-appears. I have
seen various machines (all connected to a company
network) that shows this error, while others work
perfectly.

Please help.
 
there is a virus knocking about that corrupts the screensaver files, re-install
the screensaver files
 
But surely then the screensaver files will give errors
all the time, and not only when the workstation is
locked ??? The screensavers work well while the
workstation is unlocked.
