Worksheet size

I need to create a year planner in Excel but the worksheet simply isn't wide
enough - does anybody know how to increase the (width) size?

Excel is limited to 256 columns. This can not be changed.

so you want more than 256 columns? This is not possible in Excel

You need to put, say, Jan-Jun on one sheet and Jul-Dec on another. Or change
your layout so the dates are in rows rather than columns. Or switch to Quattro
Pro, which handles more than 256 columns.
