Works Suite 2004 & Word Activation

B

Bryce

Hello All

Just wondering...

A few months ago I installed Works Suite 2004 and remember having to dial up
to the Internet to activate Word. Shortly I wish to reformat my computer,
due to unrelated issues. When I get to reinstall Works Suite, and I dial up
to activate Word, will there be any problems? For example, will it say that
I already have activated it a few months ago?

Also, when I purchased the Suite it said I had be be licensed holder of
other certain software (which I am, in my case it's Works 2000). How come
then that not once was I asked by Suite as it was installing to insert the
Works 2000 CD or product key, etc? And no, Works 2000 was not installed
already.

Any ideas, feedback appreciated.

TIA

Activation should proceed efficiently as long as
you have the activation code and the CD.

I reformatted my hard drive (also unrelated
reasons), installed Word 2003, entered the
25 digit key, and activation ran smoothly.

Microsoft apparently doesn't care how many
times one activates word as long as the
activation key is correct. Write down the
key and put it in a bank. :)

Good luck.

As long as the activation key is correct and the hardware hasn't changed. If
you try to install the same copy on multiple systems, it will balk.
